Ain’t It Strange


Today over at One Stop Poetry we are celebrating Jim Morrison of The Doors. 
They said to have fun...So I 
 Wrote this to the melody of the song, People Are Strange  written by Jim Morrison

Ain't It Strange

Words are like magic when you're a writer
Free verse is easy when you're alone
Rhyming looks easy when you're a poet
Prose can even be renowned

Ain’t it strange
How words appear out of our pain

    Lovely Helena!
    Do you know that Jim Morrison is buried in the Cemetiere Pere Lachaise in Paris? His grave is monitored by the gendarmes because fans desecrate it so often. Other famous graves in the cemetary make it quite a tourist attraction.

    Oh, my! That worked really well! I'm not a doors fan as such, but I knew the tune! I'll probably use your words to it for the rest of the day now!

    ps.......my younger son ADORES Jim Morrison and his band cover Doors songs quite a lot! Happy Celebrations!!
