Early Riser

Early Riser

Candlelight comfort and  warmth by the fire
Kettle time Tea in the wee small hours
Fresh fruit nibbles
Cinnamon toast treat
Drifting snow while everyone sleeps
Hot steaming tea cupped in shivering  hands
As our town awakens  to a winter wonderland
Shadowed silhouettes dancing  o’er morning snow
Sparkling glitter trims  evergreen boughs
Through an  ice sketched windowpane gaze

Recall childhood memories of
Perfect Snow days!

  3. I feel as though I can taste the cinnamon toast and hot tea while gazing at the candlelit fire with you. Ah, and the perfect snow day is painted so beautifully with your words. Thank you, Helena.

  4. I grew up in the mid-west, and snow I know. You have taken memories from my mind and expressed them on paper. Magic it is!
